About MouseDPITester
We build small, focused tools that answer one question honestly: what is your mouse actually doing? No installers, no accounts, no sending your movements or clicks anywhere.
Our Mission
Checking basic things about your mouse — its real DPI, its polling rate, whether a button has started chattering — used to mean digging through forum threads or downloading an unfamiliar .exe from a site you'd never heard of. We wanted a faster, safer answer: open a page, run the test, get a number you can trust.
- Built for accuracy, not hype — every tool tells you its margin of error instead of pretending to be a lab instrument.
- Built for speed — no sign-up flow standing between you and a result.
- Built to be trusted — every test runs client-side, in your own browser, on your own device.
What You Can Test
Five tools, all free, all running entirely in your browser.

Turn DPI and sensitivity into one comparable number.
CalculatorSensitivity Converter
Keep the same feel when you switch mice or games.
CalculatorPolling Rate Test
Measure the real USB report rate your mouse achieves.
TestDouble-Click Test
Catch button chatter and measure double-click speed.
TestDPI Accuracy Database
Measured vs. advertised DPI, model by model.
DataHow We Keep It Accurate
A browser can't replace a lab optical bench, so we're upfront about what these tools can and can't promise.
- We publish our margin of error — the DPI test states its typical 3–8% accuracy window rather than showing a falsely precise number.
- We use the best API available — the polling rate test reads raw hardware timing through the Pointer Events coalesced-event API in Chrome and Edge, and says so when a browser can't support it.
- We show our work — interval distributions, consistency scores and verdicts are all visible, not hidden behind a single black-box number.
- We keep it current — thresholds and reference tables get revisited as sensors and standards change.
Privacy by Design
Nothing about how you move or click your mouse needs to leave your device for these tools to work — so it doesn't.
- No accounts, no sign-up — every tool is usable the moment the page loads.
- No server-side test processing — DPI, polling rate, and click timing are all computed locally in JavaScript.
- Recent results stay on your device — saved with your browser's local storage, not our servers, and clearable anytime.
