Sensitivity is not a portable number. The same value feels completely different on a different DPI or in a different game, because it only ever means something once it's multiplied by your mouse's DPI and the game's own turn rate.
- It solves one job: given what you use now, it works out the new number that reproduces the exact same hand movement for the exact same turn on screen.
- It matches cm/360, not the raw number — the physical distance your hand travels for a full 360° spin, which is the only thing that stays constant across mice and games.
- Copy-pasting a sensitivity value is almost always wrong unless the DPI and the game are identical on both sides.

Why a Converted Setting Can Still Feel Off
If the number above doesn't feel right in game, it's almost always one of these four things — not the maths.
- Your DPI isn't what the box says — retail mice commonly deviate from their advertised DPI. Test yours before converting from it.
- Windows pointer speed isn't centred — an off-centre slider scales the cursor before the game ever sees it, throwing off every conversion downstream.
- The game has no published turn rate — a handful of titles, including Rainbow Six and PUBG, don't publish one, so the match is approximate rather than exact.
- Mouse acceleration is switched on — it makes sensitivity depend on how fast you move, so no single converted number can be exactly right.

How do I convert my sensitivity to a new mouse DPI?
Keep the game the same on both sides of the converter. Enter your old DPI and sensitivity as the From value, then enter your new mouse's DPI as the To value. The result is the sensitivity that keeps the cursor moving the same distance on screen for the same hand movement.

How many centimetres you move the mouse to turn exactly 360 degrees in game. It's the one number that means the same thing in every title, so it's what this converter matches instead of copying the raw sensitivity value across.
Why does it say a conversion is approximate?
A few games, including Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG, don't publish an official turn-rate constant. Without it the converter can't calculate a true cm/360 match, so it falls back to matching raw sensor counts — exact only when both games happen to share the same turn rate.
