How This Database Works
Every entry starts the same way: someone runs our DPI test, averages a few runs for a stable number, and sends it in with their mouse model. We don't buy or bench hardware ourselves — this is entirely reader-submitted, which means it grows in exactly the models people actually own and test.

What Deviation Is Normal?
Use this as a sanity check for your own result before assuming something's wrong with your mouse.

Submit Your Measured Result

- Run the DPI test at least three times and use the averaged result, not a single run — single drags are easy to get wrong.
- Note your mouse's exact model — including the specific DPI preset you tested, since many mice ship with several.
- Email your result to contact@mousedpichecker.org with the subject "DPI Database Submission" — include the model, advertised DPI, and your measured figure.
- We'll add it here once reviewed, crediting the submission as community-sourced.
Every figure here comes from a browser-based test with roughly 3–8% inherent error, not a professional optical bench. Treat entries as a helpful sanity check against the advertised spec, not a certified measurement.

How is the DPI Accuracy Database built?
Entries come from readers who measure their own mouse with our DPI test — averaging at least three runs — and submit the model and result through our contact page. We don't buy or test hardware ourselves, so coverage grows as submissions come in.
Why isn't my mouse listed yet?
The database only grows through reader submissions, so plenty of popular mice simply haven't been submitted yet. Test yours and send in the result — it helps the next person with the same mouse.
How much deviation from advertised DPI is normal?
Typically 1-15% depending on sensor class: flagship optical sensors usually land within 1-3%, mid-range sensors within 3-6%, and budget or heavily interpolated high-DPI settings can drift 8-20%. A single result outside that range is worth double-checking before assuming a defect.
